Ann Lebo, appointed to the board in 2013, is an English teacher and Secondary Dean at Grundy Center High School and Composition teacher for Hawkeye Community College. Ann is in her 14th year of teaching, having returned to school to become a teacher after working in business. She holds a B.A. in Speech Communication from Iowa State University, a B.A. in English Education and an M.A. in English Language and Literature from the University of Northern Iowa, and an Ed.S. in PK-12 Administration from the University of South Dakota where she is currently a doctoral student. Ann has been awarded the ICTELA Promising Teacher Award, membership into the Golden Key National Honor Society, and graduated Summa Cum Laude from UNI. Ann has served in numerous leadership capacities while working as an educator, most recently as a member of the Teacher Leadership and Compensation Task Force. Ann resides in her hometown of Grundy Center with her husband, Andy, and three children: Ella, Lucy, and Pete.
